Tech 3 Strategic Cruiser
Custom build your next ship! New technology found in Wormhole Space allows players to research, manufacture and fly the next generation of cruisers. Thousands of combinations are possible due to the modular subsystem design Tech 3 brings to EVE Online. Entry level into flying a Tech 3 Strategic Cruiser is lower than that of Tech 2 ships. At first we'll be introducing three variations for each of the five modules, with the rest to come Soon (TM).
Tech 3 Products and Engineering

Expansion? TODAY? How do I get it?
EVE-Online automatically updates itself. All you have to do is open the client, and at the login screen, press “yes” when asked if you want the latest release. This will open the patcher, and the content should be downloaded automatically.
The cat pulled out my network cable while I was downloading, is anything broken?
No, you should be able to re-patch your client by opening EVE online again. Ending the download prematurely should not damage your EVE client in any way.
My download dies halfway through, send help, this is drastically cutting into my veldspar-time.
If you are having issues autopatching, we have a fallback prepared. If your patching fails, the downloader provides an alternative download link. The file you get from this link is a full installer, instead of just the patch.
So, will the classic client still be available in Apocrypha?
No, the classic client will no longer be available. All clients will be premium from now on. If you are worried about performance, your premium client will allow you to run with settings close to what you had with classic.
Young kids today with their cellphones and autopatching! I want to manually patch, just like in the old days.
You can still manually patch your client. Go to www.eveonline.com, select the “Eve Download” bar on the left side, and then “Eve Patches”.
All the patches have numbers! What is this, some kind of lottery?!
Every version of the EVE client has a number. The Quantum Rise client you are patching to Apocrypha is number 75883 for example. The new Apocrypha client is number xxxxx.
I’m downloading two patches in a row? I thought there was only one expansion?
You may have to download two patches depending on your current client. If it asks you to download one more, no need to panic, it’s intended
